2027 General Election: Ohaji -Egbema Special Citizens Drum Support For Hon. Dibiagwu’s Re-election

The Association of Persons with Disabilities (Special Citizens) in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State has endorsed the re-election bid of the Member representing Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing his performance in office as outstanding.
Speaking during an interview with newsmen at his residence in Umuokpoke, Umuokanne, on Friday, July 17, 2026, the Chairman of the association for Ekwuato and Obitti/Mgbuisi Wards, Mr. Basil Chinonye Ubah, said Dibiagwu has performed remarkably well in his first tenure, noting that his achievements are visible across the constituency.
Ubah stated that the relationship between the federal lawmaker and Special Citizens in the constituency has remained cordial and beneficial. He explained that Dibiagwu has consistently demonstrated genuine concern for the welfare of people living with disabilities, ensuring that they benefit from his numerous empowerment programmes.
According to him, he was among the beneficiaries of the cash empowerment distributed by the lawmaker and was advised to invest the money wisely. He disclosed that he used the funds to purchase plastic chairs for a rental business, which has become a reliable source of income for him and his family.
He further revealed that when Dibiagwu distributed buses to his coordinators, his younger brother, Mr. Oscar Nwaneshi of Umuokpoke, Umuokanne, was also among the beneficiaries.
Expressing optimism about the 2027 elections, Ubah declared that Special Citizens across Ekwuato Ward and Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area are fully prepared to mobilize support for Dibiagwu’s re-election. He added that members of the association regularly hold prayer sessions for the continued success of the lawmaker and his political aspirations.
Describing Dibiagwu as tested, trusted, and credible, Ubah maintained that the federal constituency has witnessed unprecedented representation under his leadership, insisting that the people have never had it so good.
