News of the giant strides recorded in the last two years representation of Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, particularly in the areas of: infrastructural and human developments,
have continued to generate debate, across party lines in the constituency.
However, newsmen, who went on a fact finding visit to Community Secondary School Awarra, in Ohaji/Egbema LGA, Imo State, were privileged to meet with the Principal and students of the school.
Emphasising on previous and current situations in the school on the 17th of June, 2026, Mrs. Maria Unaegbu, the Principal of Community Secondary School Awarra, described Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, Member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency at the National Assembly as “a good man”.
She disclosed that Hon. Dibiagwu brought the good things he has been doing in other communities, to the Community Secondary School Awarra, which changed the school to what a learning environment should look like, according to her.
Speaking further, Mrs. Onuegbu said: “When I assumed office, there were no desks for the students to sit and learn. And there were no chairs and tables for the teachers to use.
“But Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu first built the school structure, provided desks for students to learn, as well as chairs and tables for the teachers.
“Both teachers and students are happy with what the man has done. We pray to God Almighty to continue to bless him,” the school principal stated.
On the second tenure ticket for the House Member, Mrs. Onuegbu said: “For a man that has done all these for us. Like I said before, when I assumed office, the students were left with no desks, after those of NDDC got damaged.
“Teachers had no chairs or tables, but you can see the desks for the students, and you can also see the chairs and the tables for the teachers. Dibiagwu provided them for us.
“So, if the man comes out to contest an election, we will vote for him. Because, if he wins again, he is going to do more for us.
“Last year, he paid the WAEC registration fees for students, and this year, he has done the same for our students again,” Mrs. Onuegbu affirmed.
Recall that Hon. Dibiagwu, Member representing the good people of Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives and House Committee Chairman on Regional Development, has in the last two years plus, continued to deliver the dividends of democracy to his Constituents in the areas of: road construction, empowerments, skills acquisition, and other human and infrastructural developments.
