The winner of the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary Election in Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency in Imo State, Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, has lauded the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for dismantling opposition political parties in Imo State, through his urban and rural developments in the state.
He pointed out that the numerous road constructions and other infrastructural developments across the nooks and crannies of the state were visible for all and sundry to see.
The Izombe born politician further opined that the massive infrastructural developments in the state by Senator Hope Uzodimma, have made the in coming 2027 general electioneering campaign easy for the APC and difficult for the opposition.
Hon. Dibiagwu, who spoke in an interview with newsmen in his constituency, shortly after his emergence as the APC flag bearer in the incoming Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency election, come 2027, said his emergence was as a result of the overwhelming support and votes from his Constituents.
The Reps Member, who is a first timer in the business of representation at the Federal House of Representatives, maintained that the level of support he got from his constituency was as a result of the quality representation and selfless service delivery that he offered to them in the last two years, plus.
Responding to the challenges that are being posed by the opposition political parties, Hon. Dibiagwu said: “You know my governor, he has dismantled all opposition political parties, through his infrastructural developments in the state. You know Imo is APC and APC is Imo,” Hon. Dibiagwu stated.
Speaking on the way forward, particularly on those that contested the primary election with him, Hon. Dibiagwu promised to extend his hand of fellowship to them, in order to work together for the good of the party and the state in general.
The House Committee Chairman on Regional Development at the National Assembly, further promised to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of his constituency, even after his re-election.
He was optimistic that the visibility of his supporters at the election venue was enough reason that proves he is right on ground in his constituency.
Recall that Hon. Dibiagwu in the last two years plus of his representation at the Federal House of Representatives, has built roads, schools, annual payment of WAEC fees for students, provided job opportunities, skills acquisition, palliatives and numerous empowerment programmes, among others, for his Constituents.
